This week was all about design transformation and how it has an effect on design, functionality and efficiency. One article from the essential reading, from IBM talked about digital transformation and how the big changes were social media, mobile devices, IoT and computing. All of these things changed how we consume media and are now some of the mainstream medias that everybody uses day to day.
I need to look into how I can include digital transformation into all of my work so that it is accessible to everybody that want to use or consume my projects. While Completing some background research into usability, I found an app and website 'Bionic Reading'. Bionic Reading is a program that highlights the beginning of words to help people who are neurodivergent, dyslexic or just have a hard time focusing while reading. Doing so can help people read faster and focus more as the words are clearer and you don't necessarily need to read all of the word to process what is being written. I found that this program helped me a lot to read more, faster and maintain my focus for longer so I will try to incorporate it into my designs as a feature that can be enabled.
